Kigo FootwearShoes

At kigo, we didn’t initially set out to make eco-friendly shoes. We set out to make stylish, sturdy and portable shoes. But we also wanted to make sure that our shoes do good as well as feeling good.

At kigo, we strive to create a positive footprint in three key ways - avoid, reduce and replace.
We avoid excess damage to our environment by maintaining a virtual company. To reduce, we package our shoes only with a small amount of recycled tissue and a slim box made of recycled corrugate – no plastic bags, tubes or extra packaging that end up clogging landfills. We replace by using post-consumer materials, including our liners and uppers, which were milk jugs in a former life. We are responsible in many other ways, including a revolutionary water and stain resistance treatment that is approved by the EPA, and ‘dirty shoes’ bags made from biodegradable cornstarch.

At kigo, we aspire to be responsible throughout the entire lifecycle of our shoes. We understand that it’s much more fun to ‘keep going’ in a clean and beautiful world, and we want our footprint – and yours – to make a positive impression.
