kigo recognizes that by recycling or donating your retired kigos, you share a mutual commitment to ecological responsibility. As a thank you, we will provide you with a code valid for 25% off your next order at www.kigofootwear.com. It’s much more fun to keep going in a clean and beautiful world.

In all we do, kigo footwear is committed to ecological accountability. We strive to run an efficient company, source materials and maintain partnerships to support the highest levels of environmental responsibility. This effort involves a simple, impactful three-pronged effort that spans all components of our business.

Avoid Reuse Reduce

kigo Working Philosophy (Avoid)
No, we don’t avoid work. We avoid typical work trappings like extraneous travel and unnecessary paper, opting instead for things like video conferencing, telecommuting and digital marketing materials. Technology is a beautiful tool for keeping our carbon footprint at bay.

kigo Packaging Philosophy (Reduce)
Most shiny new shoes come packaged in a bunch of totally unnecessary stuff. With kigo, there is minimal recycled wrapping and a slim recycled box – only what is necessary to protect your shoes.

kigo Product Philosophy (Reuse | Recycle)  kigo is all about keeping the good going. That’s why each pair of kigo shoes and its packaging are crafted from a combination of recycled and post-consumer materials, as well as environmentally friendly treatments.

The uppers and lining of kigo shoes are made from CYCLEPET, an amazing fabric created by breaking down plastic jugs to create a four-way stretch textile that is strong and soft. This bluesign® certified material is treated with eco-friendly AsahiGuard E-Series water and oil repellent to keep your shoes clean and dry in virtually any condition.

In the case of the kigo drive and flit, the insoles and outsoles are also crafted from PLUSfoam™, a tough and lightweight product made from a combination of reclaimed post-consumer materials, post-manufacturing scrap and virgin material.
